“Steamboat Mario” by Dan Helle (click for a larger version). The title should clue you into this artwork’s inspiration: Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks’s landmark Mickey Mouse animated short Steamboat Willie. Bowser/Pete looks like he’s about to hop off the cel with Peach!
It seems like I’m rapidally becoming a video game art blog. However, I don’t care! A sterling amalgamation of of Disney and Nintendo (two of my favourite things) deserves a reblog in my eyese.
